l: mouth open, tongue behind the teeth. You may stick out the tongue a bit. Don’t stop the air with your tongue. Keep it at the bottom of your mouth and move your jaw down.

r: do not move the tongue

Don’t overthink it. Keep the cheeks in, and use plenty of air.
